By Alexander Baron     Feb 1, 2014 in Food
London - If you like beer, the good news is there are five mini ale festivals in London before April. The bad news is you've missed two of them!
Five mini ale festivals and 22 ales across 133 public houses in the capital. The three remaining are Northwest: February 10-14; West/Southwest: February 24-88; and Central London: March 10-14.
Curiously, apart from one of the two bottled beers, all these date from the 21st Century. The exception is Fuller's Organic Honey Dew, by a company founded in 1845.
Going not one but several hundred better is the annual Great British Beer Festival which will be held at Olympia in August.
This is being promoted by the Campaign for Real Ale, a well-known pressure group that was founded in 1971. In spite of its name, the self-styled "biggest pub in the world" includes beers from other countries, including that great beer drinking nation, Germany. There will also be cider on sale, a wide selection of food, and entertainment.
