‘Stiff Bull Herbal Coffee’ has hidden Viagra-like drug warns FDA

Yes, the name is for real and the advertising is blunt and to the point. But as Forbes says, you may want to be careful where and when you drink the herbal concoction.

In a public notification published on September 16, 2016, the FDA warns the public not to purchase or consume the herbal coffee, sold in packets online. The FDA goes on to state: “FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that Stiff Bull Herbal Coffee contains desmethyl carbodenafil. Desmethyl carbodenafil is structurally similar to sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, an FDA-approved prescription drug for erectile dysfunction (ED). This undeclared ingredient may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs such as nitroglycerin and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. Men with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease often take nitrates.”

The bottom line is this — drinking Stiff Bull Herbal Coffee could very well lead to some rather awkward situations, guys. Or even worse, it could land you in the hospital. According to Munchies, UPI is reporting that Stiff Bull is the 33rd product to be placed on the FDA’s list of Tainted Sexual Enhancement Products, joining other reputable-sounding supplements such as One More Knight, Love4Long, and even one called Herb Viagara.

There has been an increase in the number of so-called dietary supplements being sold on the Internet, with claims of being “all natural” supplements for weight-loss, increased libido or bodybuilding. And while it is almost impossible for the FDA to catch every one of these products, the public should be aware that most of them may sometimes contain hidden drugs and chemicals.

Stiff Bull Herbal Coffee is sold online and comes out of Malaysia, which right there ought to raise warning lights. Their page says the combination of ingredients in their product produces an awesome effect that can last up to two to three days. In which case, you will need to see a doctor, right?

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear friend Karen Graham, who served as Editor-at-Large at Digital Journal. She was 78 years old. Karen's view of what is happening in our world was colored by her love of history and how the past influences events taking place today. Her belief in humankind's part in the care of the planet and our environment has led her to focus on the need for action in dealing with climate change. It was said by Geoffrey C. Ward, "Journalism is merely history's first draft." Everyone who writes about what is happening today is indeed, writing a small part of our history.
