Review: Sweet Surrender Bake House is a consistently excellent bakery (Includes first-hand account)

This past September, Sweet Surrender Bake House won 1st place for “Dessert” and “Best Overall Table” in the 13th Annual Taste & Toast the Town, which was presented by the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County and American Culinary Federation of Long Island.

One simply cannot say enough great things about Sweet Surrender Bake House. It is recommended for anybody who is interested in doughnuts, eclairs or cakes for gender reveals, baby shower cake pop favors, cakes of various themes, as well as rainbow cookies. Last year, the owners created a beautiful birthday cake (red velvet flavor) for this journalist’s landmark birthday celebration, which was literally the talk of the town.

Most impressive about this exquisite bakery is that it is home to the “Crannoli,” a combination of a croissant, doughnut and cannoli, which its owners (Tanya Salagiannis and Helen Kyrillidis) have trademarked, and it comes in many different varieties. Their menu is quite lengthy and eclectic. It garners an A rating.
