Neraki owner Alex Moschos is interviewed by Chef Nicole Roarke, who pays a visit the beloved Greek eatery in Huntington, New York.
Moschos is also the resident fishmonger, who is responsible for hand-selecting all of the fresh seafood at his Greek restaurant. They take their viewers on a journey to Hunt’s Point in the Bronx, which is the “main hub” for all of the fresh seafood that is imported in the New York area. “The variety of fish here is unbelievable,” said Moschos. “You have more options here than anywhere else in the country.”
He showed Chef Roarke how to make a “fagkri,” which is a Greek snapper, and one of the more popular fish that are served at Neraki. Moschos showed us a step-by-step guide on how to prepare a tasty snapper for dinner. “Ladolemono,” which is comprised of fresh lemons and Greek olive oil, helps elevate the taste of the fish to a higher level.
The link to Neraki’s segment on Restaurant Hunter on Verizon Fios is available by clicking here. It is highly recommended for all fans of the Greek cuisine, and for anybody that enjoys seafood.
Earlier this year, Neraki was honored as the “Best Greek Restaurant on Long Island” for the fourth time.
