“We are very proud of it so far,” DeLeo said, about this new restaurant that opened in Seaford three weeks ago. Stephen Rosenbluth serves as the corporate chef and owner, along with his wife, Jennifer.
Regarding the idea to open a Mediterranean restaurant in Seaford, DeLeo said, “The owners of the restaurant, Stephen and Jennifer Rosenbluth, own Anchor Down in Merrick as well. They wanted to make that a chef-driven, food-centric restaurant. Although it is on the water, the one thing we lack there is an actual water view. When the opportunity came here for us to come over, they had to jump at it, because we are on the canal. It is beautiful outside. You can sit on the water, have a drink and enjoy some food. They wanted to do something a little bit different. They did some research and discovered that there is no Mediterranean restaurant on the water on Long Island. We thought it would be a great idea to serve it at a waterfront property on Long Island.”
DeLeo concluded, “We try to do something really authentic. We’re really unique here. I stand behind the whole menu here, as does Stephen. We are serving food here that you can’t get any place else on Long Island, and that’s very exciting.”
Digital Journal previously chatted with Chef Stephen Rosenbluth, about his restaurant Anchor Down Seafood Bar & Grill, which was named “Best Seafood Restaurant on Long Island” for the second consecutive year by the “Best of Long Island” Press.
