The man spent around $1.5 million on a brand new Ferrari, which is one of the most expensive cars on the market, and the incident was caught on camera.
In the video, which has received more than 800,000 views since being uploaded four days ago, the Ferrari can be seen making a lane change. After making the change, it veers off to the right and crashes.
Witnesses said the driver may have been excited about the car’s acceleration, which can go from 0-62 mph in less than three seconds.
The Ferrari crashed into a parked car after the driver tried to accelerate ahead of another car.
Akos Moldvan, a photographer, took a few photos of the wreck. He said the driver was nonchalant about crashing his vehicle.
Moldvan said the Ferrari slipped out of control when the driver tried to accelerate. He added that the driver didn’t say much and while he was taking out the cover for the car, he lit up a cigar.
Apparently the driver blamed the Ferrari’s tires for being cold for having no grip on the road.
It’s not known how much it will cost to repair the car, and it was towed shortly after the accident.
