A major cyber attack took down the websites of both the Atheist Foundation of Australia and the Global Atheist Convention. The websites were taken down using "distributed denial of service" attacks, or attacks that send so much traffic to a website they go offline. Officials believe the attacks may be related to the Global Atheist Convention taking place in Melbourne, Australia next year.
