Dr. Ashish Bhatt Becomes Legacy Healing Center’s Chief Medical Director

Legacy Healing Center, with locations in South Florida and New Jersey, has promoted Dr. Ashish Bhatt to Chief Medical Director to oversee all of their locations. Recognized as one of Florida’s leading physicians, addiction medicine specialists, and psychiatrists, Dr. Bhatt is a great asset as the Legacy family continues to expand in a continued effort to provide the best care for their patients.

Dr. Bhatt is board certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine and has extensive leadership experience in a variety of substance abuse treatment programs. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Adult Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, which allows him to diagnose and treat various mental health disorders that happen throughout an individual’s lifespan. Dr. Bhatt’s knowledge and experience in both fields have led him to be a voice for people struggling with substance abuse and mental health disorders. Many have been misdiagnosed and therefore, have not received the appropriate treatment. Dr. Bhatt approaches each patient’s case individually and with a new assessment rather than relying on a previous diagnosis.

Legacy Healing Center

Dr. Bhatt is known to take a comprehensive and holistic approach to all patient diagnostic assessments and treatment. He is a highly sought-after speaker, giving lectures, education, and training throughout the country on the topics of behavioral health and addiction. Dr. Bhatt completed his fellowship training at the University of Miami at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he also served as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Throughout his medical career, he has held many prestigious roles including Chief Medical Director of Child and Adolescent Inpatient and Emergency Crisis at UM/Jackson Memorial Hospital, Director of the Adult Intensive Unit at Jackson Memorial, and many administrative and executive medical leadership roles in both the public and private sectors of the healthcare industry.

Legacy’s mission and program align quite well with Dr. Bhatt’s method of treating addiction. A dual diagnosis helps identify and treat co-occurring disorders, such as anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and other mental health issues. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Legacy Healing Center including his involvement working in detox which allows him to understand the medical issues patients face while detoxing from drugs and alcohol.

Legacy Healing Center is dedicated to helping people become free from the bonds of addiction and to live a better life than they ever dreamed possible. Their first-class facilities are designed to feel comfortable and uplifting so patients can relax and focus on healing. All of Legacy Healing Center’s locations include comfortable spaces, recreational areas, treatment rooms, and plenty of indoor and outdoor gathering areas. Their individualized and holistic approach to treating addiction allows them to customize treatment for every patient’s needs to give them the best possible chance of achieving long-term recovery. Treatments include group and individual therapy, quality nutrition and exercise programs, education for family members, and even helping patients find gainful employment once their treatment is done. Employing high-quality professionals, like Dr. Bhatt, is an integral part of Legacy’s continued growth and determination to give their patients the best care possible.
