After founding SASR in 2003 and leading the company through many challenges, CEO Erik Hanvey is transitioning to an advisory role and turning over the reins to Patrick Henderson as SASR’s new CEO effective March 15, 2021. Patrick most recently served as the President and COO of SASR and has helped Erik lay a great foundation for an aggressive growth strategy over the next 10 years.

He has developed a great leadership team, brought structure and clarity to the organization with his exceptional business acumen and leadership,” Hanvey said in a statement regarding the change. In an internal virtual meeting announcing the transition to associates nationally, Erik described his new role as, supporting technology and assisting where needed. “We still have a lot of the technology pieces to get finalized. It is a people business, but to operate efficiently, you must have the right technology. We are working through that right now. I will always be here for the team, advising along the way and stepping in when needed as a thought partner for the bigger decisions.”
