Wrizzle, LLC is announcing the launch of its award-winning wearable hand sanitizer wristband. The company is running an Indiegogo campaign (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/sanitizing-wristband-award-winning-design/x/24851828#/) to raise funds for manufacturing, production, and distribution.
Owner Matthys van Leeuwen says the Wrizzle wristband is the ideal way for people to clean their hands often, particularly in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. “Quite often, people are not necessarily close to a faucet to be able to wash their hands,” he says, “Wrizzle can be refilled daily with the liquid hand sanitizer of your choice, so you have it right there with you when and where you need it!”
For 17 years van Leeuwen has designed and introduced unique products focused on the niche of cycling with pets. “Now we are doing something for the general public and society,” he says, “Thinking about the impact we can make so that people feel better and more confident with clean hands is very important to us.”
Wrizzle holds 16 ounces of hand sanitizer, which contains 70% alcohol – the guideline from the World Health Organization for hand sanitizers that kill 99% of pathogens and viruses. Wrizzle also contains aloe vera, to avoid dry skin. It’s made of non-toxic and recyclable materials.
Van Leeuwen says the design is are unique, in that no one has ever made a liquid containing C-shape wristband using the blow molding technique. He adds, “In order for us to ensure functionality, we revised the concept design because it didn’t appear as practical as we anticipated at first.”
The C-shape and easy squeezing method have won Wrizzle IDA and EPDA design awards, reaching the top 10 of the Covid-19 challenge in the fashion category, and garnering an honorable mention in the European Product Design Award 2020.
Wrizzle is coming out in mid-December around the globe, and people can expect to have it delivered by Christmas.
