Hillary Raimo takes over a new position at the National Women’s Caucus for Art

Hillary Raimo is already a very well-known and inspirational artist in New York with showings in NYC galleries in Manhattan, and Saratoga, NY.
Hillary Raimo takes over a new position at the National Women’s Caucus for Art!

Hillary’s work is sought after by collectors. She recently was appointed the 2nd VP of the National Women’s Caucus for Art which is a huge accomplishment. In addition to her shows she has mentored other artists, hosted residency studies, curated art exhibits, as well as sponsoring silent auctions to raise awareness and funds for various non-profit organizations. Hillary has a business background as a licensed NYS real estate and insurance agent, and she found a way to combine intuition, energy and holistic approach in life. Whether in the boardroom or on a mountainside her visionary talents have been sought after by some of the world’s greatest minds on creative teams in a variety of industries over the years.

Hillary’s prestigious reputation has lead her to being selected as 1 of 25 women artists choose for “The Space Between: Questions of Place in Times of Uncertainty” for the Women’s Caucus for Art New York Chapter (WCA NYC).   The exhibit is in collaboration with Alfa Gallery in NJ and juried by Jeanne Brasile, Director of the Walsh Gallery at Seton Hall University.

“The Space Between” explores the relationship between female identity and the environment, evaluating women’s perceptions of place amidst a complex social climate through a myriad of perspectives. By compiling works of women artists from a variety of backgrounds, demographics, and authentic experiences, the exhibition allows audiences the opportunity to identify patterns between women’s circumstances and surroundings on both individual and collective levels. This is a unique collaborative perspective that allows for various works by celebrated artists to be highlighted. “The Space Between” sought multiple interpretations on the theme, including two and three dimensional works and audio-visual installations to create connections within an admixture of mediums.

In an effort to build bridges between certain regions and locations, the exhibition also focused on women artists currently living in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. This diverse female audience was casted to enable underrepresented voices to participate whilst highlighting the inherent values that women hold concerning concepts of dwelling and place.

Don’t miss out on this exhibit September 5 – September 26, 2020 both virtually and in Gallery!
