NASA 's Orbiting Carbon Observatory crashed

NASA's $278-million Orbiting Carbon Observatory has crashed near Antarctica, the US space agency has confirmed, failing to disengage from its Taurus rocket fairings after it's launch from Vandenberg Air Base in California.
