Dutch politician and professor in sociology Pim Fortuyn, who was non-religious, was the first to warn of the loss of Dutch cultural identity under the country's growing islamisation. He was assassinated by an animal rights activist for 'bashing Muslims' according to the killer's testimony. Dutch politics has been in an upheaval ever since.
