Anthony Cartinella has made custom drums and guitars for some of the biggest names in the music industry, along with countless overjoyed working class musicians. At the head of Black 35 Guitars, Cartinella is now sharing his insight in an insightful new podcast, call “Scratchy Pots” which will be officially launching this Summer. Cartinella founded and built Dark Horse Percussion, which he went on to sell after taking the business from his parent’s basement all the way to one of the world’s most popular drum companies. Cartinella’s new podcast is being greeted with great enthusiasm. The custom instrument crafter is already recognized as a powerful force in his field online, with 15K followers on Instagram and growing daily.
“My goal is, and has always been to treat all of my players the same,” commented Cartinella. “Whether they are touring the world, or just playing for fun at home, I value each and every one of my players and do everything in my power to provide the same quality and attention to every player I work with.”
Black 35 Guitars is based in Red Bank, New Jersey. In the past four years, Cartinella has crafted custom guitars for over 700 musicians across the world. Some of the stars this has included are notable players from legendary bands like Guns N’ Roses, My Chemical Romance, The Descendents, Bad Religion, LA Guns, and to many more to list. Back in his days running Dark Horse Percussion he has made custom drums for more than a thousand drummers, with some exceptional names such as The Bouncing Souls, The Gaslight Anthem, The Menzingers, The Wonder Years, Streetlight Manifesto, Eminem, and RX Bandits to just name a few of the over 1000 bands Anthony has crafted drums for.
