Scientific Technologies Corporation Changes Name to STChealth and Adds Division in 2020

At last month’s annual Kickoff meeting CEO, Michael Popovich, announced the name change to STChealth. The purpose? “To better reflect our mission to eradicate vaccine preventable disease. Through innovation and the creative use of technology we will empower and influence populations,” said Mike. “We’ve also formalized a new Consumer and Analytics Division with the goal to energize the immunization ecosystem community and use data to change the landscape for vaccinations across the country.”

Scientific Technologies Corporation, now STChealth, has been leading advancements in Immunization Intelligence for over 30 years, and going into 2020 the company’s momentum has never been stronger.

In just one month, September 2019, STC identified roughly eight million flu shots given by medical personnel, mostly pharmacists, who did not have access to patients’ vaccine history via state immunization registries. Why does that matter?

Research has revealed that when an immunizer is able to review the patient’s immunization history through STC’s intelligent data exchange network and identify current gaps in immunizations, over half of the patients will then agree to the additional vaccine(s). This means that over four million vaccines might have been given if the data had been put to use.

Four million missed opportunities – in just one month!

“Our data scientists and consumer engagement experts are creating actionable opportunities and strategies that will close care gaps,” said Antonio Vega, STChealth’s leading Data Scientist. “And the success of this predictive vs. reactive approach is already evident in our first projects to go to market.”
