Anaheim, California – Anaheim Lighthouse, a residential treatment center offering drug and alcohol recovery services in Southern California, is hosting a Super Bowl party on February 2, 2020. The viewing party will be held at the Lighthouse campus with residents, staff, and members of the alumni program invited to the event.
Jocel Bibera, alumni relations coordinator of the Lighthouse, said that the Super Bowl viewing party has always been a popular event that both residents and alumni members look forward to every year.
“We at the Lighthouse love hosting the Super Bowl viewing party as a great way to encourage bonding within our community. The alumni program will provide snacks and beverages to help create an exciting atmosphere so that everybody can enjoy the most anticipated football game of the season,” said Bibera.
Michael Bumpus, a Lighthouse alumnus and staff, shared that sporting events are great for community building, adding that hosting a Super Bowl party is an opportunity for Lighthouse alumni to interact and reach out to current residents.
“I think it’s amazing that we’re opening up the campus so that alumni can join the treatment clients while watching the Super Bowl game together. The alumni can show in-patient clients that you can have fun sober,” said Bumpus.
