Dutch Holland class coastal patrol ships

The Dutch Holland-class coastal patrol ships ordered by the Dutch navy are highly maneuverable, reach 22-knot speeds, are equipped with low-frequency sonar to detect movement in shallow coastal water. The Dutch navy decided to scrap its more cumbersome frigates in favour of the faster high-speed coastal patrols because the nature of warfare has changed from conventional to terrorism- and piracy-type warfare.
