The Legemar family of a smallholding at Kameeldrift near Pretoria was under a three-hour siege on November 21 2008 during which they fought back with their three legally-allowed handguns against ten black youths armed with AK47s. The police refused to help and only arrived 13 hours later to examine the crime scene.
