The only way to produce a white tiger is through severe inbreeding of brother to sister, father to daughter and mother to son. There are some 400 white tigers in the world, only in captivity. White tigers in the wild are extremely rare. The last seen in the wild is Mohan, captured in India as a cub in 1951, he is the "founding father" of all white Bengal tigers !
