At least sixteen persons have died and 57 other were injured in a head-on train collision in Szczekociny near Zawiercie, southern Poland on Saturday evening. All the injured were taken by ambulances and helicopters to hospitals in the region. President Bronislaw Komorowski on Sunday evening announced a national mourning on March 5 and 6 following the tragic accident
