Toronto - The 14th edition of the highly anticipated Wavelength Music Festival takes over a few different locations in Toronto, presenting some of the bright names in independent music. Here's your chance to catch the next big thing in an intimate environment.
Festival highlights include a showcase at Adelaide Hall with female guitar shredder Marnie Stern and Buzz Records' Odonis Odonis and Weaves as part of a Red Bull-presented showcase; a Weird Canada co-presented evening at unique alternative space Polish Combatants Hall headlined by two-time Polaris Prize short-listed saxophonist Colin Stetson; a collaboration with indie electronic blog Silent Shout co-headlined by Toronto's Phèdre and Montreal's TOPS; and what will be a triumphant finish by Halifax's epic indie-rock duo, Cousins.
Also included: DIANA, Montreal's Alden Penner (The Unicorns, Clues), DJ ZOSO (Diamond Rings), Psych-rockers Biblical, Electronic duo Ark Analog (Maylee Todd and Woodhand's Dan Werb) and garage punks Mexican Slang.
