A trailer has been released for the live-action adaptation of the Japanese movie called "1/11" based off the manga of the same name.
The 2010 Japanese manga known as “1/11” is getting a live-action full-length movie adaptation of the same name. 1/11, which is written and illustrated by Takatoshi, is still ongoing. This movie is due to hit theaters across Japan on April 4. It is unknown if the movie will get an international release; there is still the possibility this could be screened at film festivals across the world.
A trailer is available for viewing.
This is a story about “international football” which is known as “soccer” in the United States. If you are a fan of this popular international sport, you may want to check out 1/11 when it becomes available for viewing.
Like the manga, the movie focuses on very talented soccer player Sora Ando. However, upon entering the first year of high school, Sora gave it all up. This was due to feeling that there's a limit to his talent. Upon meeting female soccer player Shiki Wakamiya and childhood friend, Sora feels the urge to play soccer again. He learns there is more to being good at soccer than just talent. Sora works hard in order to continue playing soccer.
As for the manga, it originally ran in Jump SQ. In February 2012, 1/11 started running to Jump Square magazine. Crunchyroll reports that this is the first major commercial film for Sho Kataoka.
