article imageVideo: 2014 remake of 'Godzilla' official main trailer

By Can Tran     Feb 25, 2014 in Entertainment
A new trailer has been released for the 2014 reboot of the classic "Godzilla," starring Bryan Cranston, which hits theaters on May 16.
The second official trailer has been released for the new upcoming remake of Godzilla, with no seeming relation with the last remake starring Matthew Broderick and Jean Reno, which will hit theaters this May 16. This trailer features voice-over dialogue from Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad and Malcolm in the Middle) complaining to and suspecting that the government is definitely hiding something. He says that the lack of information, let alone info on how to properly respond to the threat, humanity is on the brink of being “sent back to the stone age.”
This trailer shows scenes of New York City being devastated by Godzilla. While military technology is state of the art, it proves to do little against the threat that Godzilla poses as shown in the video. The trailer also gives a bit of the movie's story in which humanity used atomic weapons against Godzilla in the past while disguising it as weapons testing. Near the end of the trailer, there is a glimpse of Godzilla's face.
Fans of Godzilla can check this movie out in a few months. The movie also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kickass), Ken Watanabe (Inception), Elizabeth Olsen (Oldboy remake), and Richard T. Jones (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles).
