By Markos Papadatos     Feb 3, 2014 in Entertainment
Country group The Band Perry are off to a great month. They played a lively performance on the NFL and Fox's Super Bowl LXVII Tailgate pre-game show.
They will also serve as advisers for Blake Shelton's team on "The Voice" this season, during the "Battle Rounds." The show's season six premiere will take place on February 24 on NBC.
"Blake didn't have to ask us twice if we wanted to mentor his team this season on The Voice, " said The Band Perry in a press statement. "It was so much fun to work with Team Blake, and after 15 years of receiving plenty of 'constructive criticism,' it was our turn to pay it forward. We just hope we were as helpful to Blake's team as our own mentors have been to us through the years," they added.
In addition, the country trio of siblings scored two nominations at the upcoming Academy of Country Music (ACM) awards for "Vocal Group of the Year," as well as for "Music Video of the Year" for their hit single "Better Dig Two." In 2011, they were the recipients of the "New Artist of the Year" and "Top New Vocal Duo or Group" ACM awards.
