article imageReview: The Cadillac Three rocks on new single and video for 'The South' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Jan 3, 2014 in Entertainment
Country trio The Cadillac Three released their latest music video for their radio single "The South." They are signed to Big Machine Records.
The Cadillac Three is made up of Jaren Johnston on lead vocals and guitar, Kelby Ray on bass guitar, dobro, acoustic guitar and vocals, as well as Neil Mason on drums and vocals.
"The South" is a soaring collaboration with such country acts as Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley and Mike Eli (from the Eli Young Band). Jaren nails the lead vocals, possessing a unique, versatile and amazing voice. Kelby and Neil are also impressive on background vocals and the band as a whole shines on instrumentals. They are like a modern-day Marshall Tucker Band meets Lynyrd Skynyrd.
The Verdict
The Cadillac Three's new song "The South" is fun, gritty and it pays homage to their southern roots. Their passion and love for music is evident in this video and there is nobody else like them in the country genre. They are one of the most underrated bands out there. "The South" garners 5 out of 5 stars and hopefully country radio will embrace it with the respect it deserves.
