By Markos Papadatos     Feb 23, 2014 in Entertainment
RCA Nashville recording country artist Sara Evans filmed the music video for her lead-off single "Slow Me Down" from her upcoming CD.
It deals with a failing romance and as the female narrator in the song is ready to break up with her man, she encourages him to hurry and slow her down, as the only means of saving that relationship.
The song was co-penned by Marv Green, Heather Morgan and Jimmy Robbins. As Digital Journal previously reported, the song garnered an A rating, and it was well-received when she sang it live at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury this past September.
The song has made the Top 30 on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts, sitting at No. 29 for the week ending March 1, 2014.
The Verdict
Evans maintains a great deal of control on this song, and in the tune's music video, she looks as beautiful as ever. It has generated over 737,000 views on YouTube. She showcases her vulnerability as an artist and proves that she is one of country's finest powerhouse female vocalists out there. It ought to climb higher on the charts.
