article imageReview: Lorde stuns on new radio single 'Team' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Jan 18, 2014 in Entertainment
"Team" is the latest radio single from New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde. It is a track from her Grammy-nominated album "Pure Heroine."
It moves up three spots to No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, for the week ending January 25, after charting for 16 weeks.
She co-wrote the tune with Joel Little, who also co-produced the song. It contains elements of pop, rock, adult contemporary and electronic dance music (EDM).
Her music video for her newest single "Team" has garnered over 9 millions views on YouTube, the majority of which were "likes" from fans. For a 17-year-old, she is quite the precocious entertainer.
Just when you thought that Lorde could not get any better after her breakthrough hit "Royals," she proves that she can do it all: write, record and co-produce yet another flawless single. Her vocals are hypnotic, crisp and captivating. Hopefully with "Team," she will reach an even higher level of success, since she deserves to be selling out stadiums worldwide. There is nobody else like Lorde on radio at the moment. She stands out by a line, in the best way possible.
Lorde will be touring North America in 2014 to promote her new music and she will make two stops at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City in March.
