article imageReview: Country singer Steve Grand captivates on 'Stay' single and video Special

By Markos Papadatos     Mar 1, 2014 in Music
Country singer Steve Grand released his single "Stay," which was the follow-up to his breakthrough single "All-American Boy."
He is the first openly gay male country artist. His song "Stay" has a haunting instrumentation to it, and his husky voice is reminiscent of rock singer-songwriter Chris Daughtry. The song that a universal message of love to it that almost anybody can relate to its poignant and romantic lyrics. His songwriting is warm, authentic and sincere. Grand's vocals on this tune are as smooth as silk. It garners an A rating.
Although he is not signed on a major label yet, I feel that he definitely should since he is far more talented than the majority of the artists that are on the big labels. Very few artists can touch fans and listeners in the way that Steve Grand can. It is no wonder that his fans were able to fully help him reach his recent Kickstarter campaign goal, in just a 17-hour time period, with many days remaining.
