Rising country artist David Fanning may not be a household name yet, but he certainly deserves to be. He is a triple threat in the industry.
He is a producer, artist and songwriter who has penned songs for such diverse artists as Thompson Square, Bonnie Tyler, Scotty McCreery, Tracy Lawrence and newcomer Lindsay Ell; moreover, he co-wrote country group Parmalee's breakthrough single "Musta Had a Good Time."
Fanning was raised on a farm in Ardmore, Alabama, and he is signed to the record label, Red Bow Records, which is home to such artists as Joe Nichols and Rachel Farley. He has been dubbed as the "Ryan Tedder of country music," and rightfully so.
His debut single, "Drink You Away," is a breath of fresh air. It is raw and rocking and it has a stellar production, as well as a haunting Bon Jovi vibe to it, where the listener can easily recall "Wanted Dead or Alive." It garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
The tune is a country version of Justin Timberlake's "Drink You Away" and he praised his excitement for the recording on his official Twitter page.
"Never thought I would hear a song I wrote on country radio. My GrandDad is smiling from a bar in heaven," Timberlake tweeted to his fans and followers on November 26.
