Thackerville - Grammy-nominated singer Adam Lambert performed at Oklahoma's Win Star World Casino on December 31, for a sold-out crowd, to celebrate the New Year.
The venue is located in Trackerville, Oklahoma.
According to the official Broadway World website, he performed his new song "Lay Me Down," for the second time ever.
Based on a YouTube clip of his live performance, Lambert's soaring performance of the tune was well-received. He briefly showed off his dance moves and nailed the vocals, as always. The new track is found on Avicii's new album True, which was released this past September.
Lambert delivered a smooth cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Red House," which showcased his range and versatility as an artist.
He paid homage to the legendary rock band Queen, by singing their classic hits "Dragon Attack" and "We Will Rock You."
This New Year should be quite exciting for Lambert, since as Digital Journal previously reported, he hinted that his third studio album should be released at some point in the year.
His set included his smash hits "Whataya Want From Me" and "If I Had You," the latter of which he opened the show with, as well as a moving cover of "Mad World," the song that garnered him a standing ovation from all four judges when he sang it on American Idol, including Simon Cowell.
The Verdict
One thing's for sure. It isn't New Year's unless Adam Lambert comes and performs at your venue. The fans at this Oklahoma casino were in for a real treat, especially since Lambert gave them the best live show possible.
