Los Angeles - The Recording Academy has announced that Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will each perform at the Grammy Awards January 26 in Los Angeles.
Sir Paul and Ringo will accept a Lifetime Achievement Award on half of the Beatles the night before at The Special Merit Awards.
Other recipients include Kraftwerk, The Isley Brothers, Clifton Chenier, Kris Kristofferson, Armando Manzanero, and Maud Powell.
Paul McCartney is nominated for Grammys for Best Rock Song ("Cut Me Some Slack") and Best Music Film ([i]Live Kisses[/i]).
Other artists scheduled to perform include Taylor Swift, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kacey Musgraves, Katy Perry, Metallica, a collaborative performance by Daft Punk, Stevie Wonder, Nile Rodgers, and Pharrell Williams, among others. This will be Metallica's first Grammy performance since 1991, Rolling Stone reports.
Carole King, who was named 2014's MusiCares Person of The Year, will perform with Sara Bareilles.
The night after the Grammy Awards, The Eurythmics will reunite for The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles. The event will air on CBS on February 9.
The Grammy Awards will air on CBS January 26 live from the Staples Center.
