article imageNBA All-Star Kevin Durant raps on new track 'Whole Life'

By Layne Weiss     Dec 30, 2013 in Sports
Oklahoma City - Recently, Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star Kevin Durant stepped off the basketball court and into the recording booth to record a verse for the song "Whole Life."
Fellow Oklahoma City-based rappers Josh Sallee, CL McCoy, and Privaledge are featured on the track.
“I’m a basketball player. That’s what I do and what I love but that’s just not all who I am,” Durant told the Washington Post last year. “I’m talented in a lot of different areas. Rapping is one of those things I just enjoy doing.”
Last year, Privaledge and Kevin Durant released the song "Rolls Royce."
Earlier in 2013, Durant signed with Jay-Z's Roc Nation Sports worrying fans that he would leave the OKC Thunder once his contract expired. He told everyone to "chill" and that his change in representation didn't mean he wanted to leave the Thunder.
Fellow NBA star Stephen Jackson is also a rapper. He and Kevin Durant collaborated on a song together last year.
Jackson and Durant aren't the only rappers in the NBA. Earlier in December, Iman Shumpert released a video of him freestyle rapping.
