Regarding his single “Stars,” he said, “It was a lot of fun doing that song actually. She is such a star. She came to my studio for two evenings and it inspired me to bring in gospel singers and an amazing piano player. I put it out on a high quality label, and it was one of those bucket list things to check off. They really liked it, and we had a lot of fun putting it out. I am thrilled and I think it’s one of those records that will stay around for a while. It’s a classic house track.”
His single, “Dance Bitch,” ascended the iTunes charts, and featured Aaron Paul (from Breaking Bad) on vocals. “That seems like a long time ago, but it was a really fun and exciting project,” he said. “It was definitely inspired by my circle of friends, when the show Breaking Bad was on. I thought it was a fun idea, and we recorded him on an iPhone, and I processed the vocal, and it was rushed to drop and release the record. It did really well. Fans really liked it, and it went to No. 27 on the dance charts on iTunes.”
Freeman’s plans for the future are quite busy. “I’ve been working like a maniac actually. I’m getting ready to do a festival in my favorite part of Mexico. So next weekend, I launch my festival,” he said. “That’s taking all my time at the moment. My fashion clients send me to some pretty amazing places to play.”
