Acclaimed rock group The Moody Blues celebrate their 50 year anniversary with a deluxe edition of "Days of Future Passed."
The collection will be released on November 17 by UMe, where the deluxe edition will consist of a 2 CD, DVD and audio edition.
Due to a damaged master tape of the original mix, the CD was remixed in stereo in 1972. Thanks to today's advances in technology, the original stereo master was able to be repaired, and the new 50th Anniversary deluxe edition pairs that original album mix with the 1972 stereo mix.
Days Of Future Passed was their sophomore studio album, and it helped mark the beginning of the rock band's psychedelic era. The album features the hit singles "Tuesday Afternoon" and "Nights In White Satin," which solidified the Moody Blues as true pioneers in the progressive rock movement.
This new Moody Blues collection is available for pre-order on Amazon.
In 2018, The Moody Blues garnered their first nomination for the coveted Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as Digital Journal reported. They have sold in excess of 70 million albums worldwide, and they have won countless awards over the years.
Their July 12 concert at Jones Beach on Long Island garnered a glowing review from Digital Journal.
Their 50th Anniversary Tour continues in January of 2018 with dates all across America. To learn more about The Moody Blues, check out their official website.
