article imageThe Monkees to embark on 2020 tour, to release first live album

On November 12, The Monkees announced that they will be embarking on a tour in April of 2020, which is called "An Evening with The Monkees."
According to Rolling Stone, the tour will kick off on April 3 in Vancouver, Canada, and it will culminate on April 26 at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, Tennessee. This tour will be comprised of the two surviving members of the band, Micky Dolenz and Michael Nesmith, and it will feature songs from their lengthy musical catalog.
Their smash hits include "I'm a Believer," "Pleasant Valley Sunday," "Daydream Believer," and "Last Train to Clarksville," among countless others.
Speaking of "Last Train to Clarksville," The Monkees just celebrated the 53rd anniversary of the song going No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts (It went No. 1 on November 5, 1966).
In addition, Dolenz and Nesmith will be releasing their upcoming live studio album, The Mike & Micky Show Live, on April 3. This album was taped back in March of 2019 as part of "The Mike Nesmith and Micky Dolenz Show." Fans that are buying tickets to their forthcoming 2020 tour will automatically receive the album either as a digital download or a physical hard copy.
This past summer, Dolenz and Nesmith toured in Australia and New Zealand, and that marked their first time Down Under since 1968.
