Shania Twain has proved that she is the reigning queen of country pop. Her new album, "Now," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts.
Now has sold in excess of 137,000 units. This makes her the first female country recording artist to top the Billboard 200 all-genre charts in over three years.
Twain already earned a platinum album in Canada, thanks to her new release, and it landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums charts, and in such countries as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Zimbabwe and Australia. This is her first studio effort in almost 15 years. She co-wrote all 16 tracks on the collection.
"This is an emotional day as I take in the great news that my new album has come in at No. 1," Shania Twain, said in a press release. She shared that she is "deeply moved" to have everybody's support, and she is excited to be performing the songs in concert on her upcoming tour, where she can celebrate in person with the fans.
The Canadian born songstress co-produced her new studio album, where she collaborated with such producers as Matthew Koma, Ron Aniello, Jake Gosling and Jacquire King.
Her new album album has earned rave reviews from Vulture, Rolling Stone, ABC News, and Entertainment Weekly, among other media outlets.
