Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Robert Plant has announced his 2018 North American Tour, in support of his new album "Carry Fire."
The first leg of his 2018 world tour kicks off on February 9 in Raleigh, North Carolina, at the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium. Planet will be joined by his band, The Sensational Space Shifters. On February 14, Plant will be performing at the Beacon Theatre in New York City.
His upcoming album, Carry Fire, will be available everywhere on Friday, October 13, and it will be released on Nonesuch/Warner Bros. Records. It was produced by Robert Plant himself. His song "Bluebirds Over The Mountain" is available today, and it features vocals from Chrissie Hynde, the front-woman of The Pretenders.
In addition, every concert ticket that is purchased online will be accompanied by either a digital or hard copy of the new CD, upon its release.
Plant's special musical guests on the new CD include Chrissie Hynde, Albanian cellist Redi Hasa, and acclaimed musician Seth Lakeman, who plays viola and fiddle on three songs. Lakeman will join Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters on all of their upcoming tour dates.
