Review: Zac Brown Band performs at iHeartRadio Theater in New York City (Includes first-hand account)

They opened their set with their infectious hit single “Homegrown” and it was followed by the new tune “Family Table” and they took their fans on a trip down memory lane with the mellow “Keep Me in Mind.”

The Grammy-winning group continued with yet another new song “Roots,” prior to singing their latest radio single “My Old Man,” which is in the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts, sitting at No. 19 this week.

Of course, no Zac Brown show is complete without their signature song “Chicken Fried” and “Colder Weather,” which featured the band’s velvet harmonies. Other noteworthy tracks from their new CD included “Long Haul,” “Real Thing,” “Your Majesty” and “2 Places at 1 Time.”

Zac Brown Band closed their set by tipping their hat to The Allman Brothers Band with the southern rock classic “Whipping Post,” thus paying tribute to their musical heroes.

The Verdict

Overall, Zac Brown Band delivered at iHeartRadio Theater in New York City. Judging from their show, the songs on their new album Welcome Home seem very promising. Their live iHeartRadio concert garnered 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Welcome Home is available on iTunes.
