article imageReview: Will Hoge charms on 'Little Bit of Rust' duet with Sheryl Crow Special

By Markos Papadatos     Jun 8, 2017 in Music
Country singer Will Hoge collaborates with Grammy winner Sheryl Crow on his new radio single, the duet "Little Bit of Rust."
"Little Bit of Rust" is a track from his upcoming studio album, Anchors, on August 11, and the single will officially be released tomorrow. It premiered exclusively on Rolling Stone Country.
"Ain't nothing we can't fix, ain't no broken trust, ain't no great divide between the two of us," Hoge and Crow sing, in unison. It has a bluesy vibe to it, coupled with killer fiddle and mandolin instrumentation. Hoge's rich, harking voice pierces down the listener's spine, and is able to give goosebumps.
The Verdict
Overall, Will Hoge is back stronger than ever on his new single "Little Bit of Rust." It is a polished tune about sophisticated love, and overcoming the obstacles during difficult times. The inclusion of Sheryl Crow on here is pure genius, where her crisp vocals help elevate it to a higher level. Hoge is not afraid to take risks with the music that he writes and releases, and this risk has certainly paid off. "Little Bit of Rust" garners an A rating.
