Review: Todd O’Neill charms on sultry lead country single ‘Love Again’ (Includes first-hand account)

His breakthrough single, “Love Again,” is already gaining momentum on the radio airwaves, including New York’s NASH FM 94.7, and rightfully so. It was co-penned by country songwriters Brett Young (and label-mate), Jesse Frasure and Cary Barlowe. Jay DeMarcus from the country group Rascal Flatts served as his producer.

The song is sultry and upbeat with a neat groove to it, where his rich, baritone vocals are reminiscent of such fellow country singers as Drake White and Chris Lane.

O’Neill was the 2016 winner of the NASH Next competition, and he signed to Nash Next Records, which is an imprint of the Big Machine Label Group.

The Verdict

Overall, Todd O’Neill deserves to become the next big male star in country music. “Love Again” is a keeper, and it is worth more than just a passing glance. Jay DeMarcus did a solid job on the production. “Love Again” garners an A rating.
