Their CD opens with the title track “Bury Me in My Boots” and it is followed by the up-tempo and traditional-sounding “Slide,” and their infectious radio single “Drunk Like You,” which fared well when they sang it live at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in New York.
The mid-tempo “Graffiti” has a neat groove to it, and front-man Jaren Johnston shows us how to have a good time with the party anthem, “Party Like You.” After “Ship Faced,” they ensure us that they know how to throw a party with the liberating “Soundtrack To A Six Pack.”
The inclusion of their single “White Lightning” is an added bonus on this project, and the same holds true for their breakthrough single “The South,” which is a compelling collaboration with Dierks Bentley, Florida Georgia Line, and Mike Eli of the Eli Young Band. It closes with the spitfire “Hot Damn” and “Runnin’ Red Lights.”
The Verdict
Overall, The Cadillac Three excels on their latest studio effort Bury Me in My Boots. They are one of the most underrated groups in the country and southern rock genres. This CD garners an A rating.
