article imageReview: Taylor Swift solid on new album 'Reputation' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Nov 12, 2017 in Music
Global music star Taylor Swift has released her new studio album, "Reputation," on November 10, via Big Machine Records.
Swift served as executive producer of the project, along with Jack Antonoff, Max Martin, and Shellback on the production credits.
The CD opens with the infectious tune "...Ready for It?" which sets the tone for the album. It is followed by "End Game," her collaboration with fellow musician Ed Sheeran and rapper Future, and the unflinching "I Did Something Bad."
After the witty and quirky "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things," her 15-track album closes with "Call It What You Want" and the stirring, piano-driven ballad "New Year's Day," where she leaves her fans wanting to hear more.
The highlight tracks on the album are "Getaway Car" and "Gorgeous."
The Verdict
Overall, Taylor Swift's new album Reputation is highly eclectic and edgy. There is something in it for everybody, and she showcases her growth and maturity as a songwriter. She has taken a lot of risks for this collection, and the vast majority of them have paid off. This is bound to be her next record-breaking album sales-wise. It garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
Reputation is available on Amazon.
