By Markos Papadatos     Sep 15, 2019 in Music
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Sting has a major reason to celebrate. "If You Love Somebody Set Them Free 2019" has topped the Billboard Dance Club Songs charts.
The single reached No. 1 for the week of September 14 after charting for 12 weeks. It is funky, refreshing and liberating. This marks Sting's fourth career chart-topping single on the Billboard Dance Club Songs charts.
Sting's original recording of the song "If You Love Somebody Set Them Free" reached No. 10 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs charts back in 1985, as well as No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
His other No. 1 songs on the dance charts include "Send Your Love" (2003), "Stolen Car (Take Me Dancing)" (2004), as well as his most recent chart-topper "Car" with Mylene Farmer (2016).
"If You Love Somebody Set Them Free 2019" is available on Amazon Music and on Apple Music.
Earlier this year, as Digital Journal reported, Sting and Shaggy earned the Grammy Award for "Best Reggae Album" for their collaborative album 44/876.
