On September 22, Reba McEntire, who is affectionately known as "The Queen of Country Music," celebrated the 40th anniversary of her Grand Ole Opry debut.
On that historic night in 1977, McEntire was surprised by another country queen Dolly Parton. Fast forward 40 years later, and Dolly Parton still manages to surprise McEntire again, this time for her 40th anniversary celebration.
Aside from Ms. Parton, the night featured surprises from such acclaimed country artists as Vince Gill and Carrie Underwood. McEntire closed her memorable set at the Opry with a spitfire version of "Fancy."
"Last night was a DREAM. Happy 40th #Opry debut anniversary, @reba!" the Grand Ole Opry official Twitter page posted.
McEntire was officially inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry on January 17, 1986.
