By Markos Papadatos     Sep 17, 2017 in Music
Pop rock group R5 have released their new radio single "Hurts Good" on September 15 via the record label Hollywood Records.
"Hurts Good" was co-penned by brothers Ross and Rocky Lynch from the quintet, as well as their drummer Ellington Ratliff; moreover, it was produced by Rocky Lynch and Pete Nappi.
Their new single has a retro, funky and disco vibe to it. Lead singer Ross Lynch explained that the tune is about desire and temptation for things that might not be good, and that makes those things even more appealing.
In addition, this complex single has a neat groove to it. "Hurts Good" is comprised of pumping synths and a hypnotic beat, which was made to be listened to in a dark and intense environment.
R5 will be performing this new single at their live concerts overseas in the European and Latin American countries.
The Verdict
Overall, "Hurts Good" is another keeper by R5. It showcases their growth and maturity as contemporary recording artists. It garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
"Hurts Good" is available on iTunes and on Spotify.
