Review: Plunge rocks out Mulcahy’s just in time for Easter weekend (Includes first-hand account)

They shared the stage with 80’s tribute group The Ronald Reagans and headlining act Larger Than Life, the latter of which paid homage to the biggest boy bands of our time. Behind the DJ booth was 90’s guru DJ Mike Savage.

Plunge was able to delight by playing songs by such noteworthy 90’s acts as Blink-182, Sublime (“Santeria”), Third Eye Blind (“Semi-Charmed Life”), Green Day (“Basket Case”) and of course, Pearl Jam. Their show was upbeat and a great deal of fun. Plunge, and front-man Matt Wahl in particular, ought to be commended for their tremendous stage presence.

The Verdict

Overall, it was a neat timeline of music for a Friday night in Wantagh. The show began with 80’s music courtesy of The Ronald Reagans, and then it broke into Plunge’s 90’s set, coupled by Larger Than Life’s modern and traditional boy band music. Also, with DJ Mike Savage spinning in between sets, one could never go wrong in life.
