Navy veteran and singer-songwriter Phillip Broussard has released his new radio single, the acoustic pop tune "Just Wanna Believe."
His songwriting is warm, haunting and impressive. Broussard allows his mellow vocals to do all the talking, which are reminiscent of James Taylor ("Fire and Rain") meets Johnny Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls.
"Ever since we've met, I have worshiped the ground, that your feet have touched, just to be pushed around," Broussard sings.
Broussard's greatest musical inspirations include such iconic artists as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Pink Floyd and James Taylor. Broussard is a veteran of the United States Navy.
The Verdict
Phillip Broussard delights on his pleasant new acoustic pop single "Just Wanna Believe," which is lyrically and sonically stunning. The song has a positive message to it, about the impact of true love on one's life. Broussard's voice is as smooth as silk on "Just Wanna Believe." He exhibits a great deal of musical potential. It garners an A rating.
