The CD opens on an ambient note with the lengthy (21 minute) “Jimmy / Blackout” track, which instantly lures the listener into this soundtrack project. It is followed by the acoustic folk tune “The Ballad Of Jimmy McCabe,” where he showcases his rich yet delicate vocals. He picks up the pace with the aggressive and up-tempo title track “Jawbone.”
“Bottle” is yet another acoustic ballad where Weller displays his haunting voice in the song’s reflective and conversational lyrics. “Jawbone Training” has more of an instrumental jazz vibe to it, while “Man On Fire” is a true soundtrack masterpiece. The album closes on a fitting note with the unflinching “End Fight Sequence.”
The musical soundtrack of Jawbone is available on iTunes and on Amazon.
