Review: Olivia Lane fabulous on eponymous new country EP (Includes first-hand account)

Her EP opens with the impressive “Lightning,” where her lilting vocals are reminiscent of such country songstresses as Jennifer Nettles meets Sara Evans. It is followed by the reflective yet refreshing “Quarter Life Crisis.” It is followed by her uplifting radio single “Make My Own Sunshine.”

“She Fits” is a neat song about adjusting, and one being comfortable in their own skin. She shows her sassy side on the spitfire, mid-tempo tune “My Heartache.” The EP closes with “There’s a Guy” and the nonchalant “Keychain,” which has a liberating vibe to it.
