article imageReview: Olivia Lane fabulous on eponymous new country EP Special

By Markos Papadatos     Jul 29, 2016 in Music
Country darling Olivia Lane is back with her breakthrough EP, and it is a beautiful collection of seven songs. She is poised for musical success.
Her EP opens with the impressive "Lightning," where her lilting vocals are reminiscent of such country songstresses as Jennifer Nettles meets Sara Evans. It is followed by the reflective yet refreshing "Quarter Life Crisis." It is followed by her uplifting radio single "Make My Own Sunshine."
"She Fits" is a neat song about adjusting, and one being comfortable in their own skin. She shows her sassy side on the spitfire, mid-tempo tune "My Heartache." The EP closes with "There's a Guy" and the nonchalant "Keychain," which has a liberating vibe to it.
