Review: Mila Jam releases inspirational music video for ‘Faces’ (Includes first-hand account)

The song “Faces” is about one’s self acceptance, inner beauty, and sense of belonging. This uplifting single is very relevant in the day and age that we are living in. The YouTube star-turned-singer decided to record a song that would force everybody to take a deeper look into their individuals worlds, as well as recognize the unique beauty that each person offers to the world. It is safe to say that Mila Jam has done a good job.

Throughout her career in the music industry, Mila Jam has toured internationally with the Broadway musical Rent, and she performed alongside such diverse artists as James Brown, Mark Ronson, Laverne Cox and Natasha Bedingfield. Jam was named Odyssey Nightlife Awards “Breakthrough Artist in 2015”, and she was subsequently awarded “Best Video” and “Dance Artist” at the 2013 GLAM Nightlife Awards. In addition, Jam is host of the original YouTube Talk Show series, I’m From Driftwood.

The Verdict

Overall, Mila Jam’s new song “Faces” garners 4.5 out of 5 stars. It is a husky vocal performance featuring Mila Jam’s breathy and refreshing vocals. “Faces” is worth more than just a passing glance, especially since it has a liberating and optimistic vibe to it.
